Our Design Philosophy

We pride ourselves on strictly adhering to our philosophy that your project can not be priced without a full design.  Defining the project in full takes discipline and the willingness to do some research and planning before your project is priced.  We never want you to feel that we under-bid your job so we maintain a design-build model which means you will know exactly what we intend to build before we make a proposal. Additionally, you will have the advantage of working with an experienced design team.

Richard Hobar
As owner of DesignTech Rich has accumulated design experience spanning 15 years.  He has a total of 28 years experience in construction, and has been involved with various trade associations which add depth to the many years Rich has been serving the area.  Rich will act as the main catalyst between sales, design and construction of your project.  With weekly Home-Owner’s meetings Rich will stay close to the project and you will have regular opportunities to catch up on details.

Rita Hasset
With a background in Architectural Drafting and a study of Interior Design, Rita brings over 20 years of design and remodel experience to DesignTech. Her focus for the last 15 years has been designing custom kitchen & baths. She enjoys transforming her client's dreams into reality.

Dan Bennett
Dan joined DesignTech in 2007 as a Design and Sales Consultant. He brings five years of Design/Build remodeling experience from his family's business to help create conceptual designs and solutions for his clients. Previously, he graduated from the University of Dayton with a business degree in Entrepreneurship.

Myia Lowman
Myia graduated from Virginia Marti College of Art & Design with an Applied Business Degree in Interior Design. She became a Design Consultant for DesignTech in the spring of 2007. Since then, she has designed and assisted clients with their finish selections to complete the transformation of their homes. .

Nicole Wagner
Nicole graduated from the Virginia Marti School of Design in 1997 and has been in the design and remodeling industry ever since. She joined DesignTech in 2008 as a Kitchen and Bath Designer to assist clients with product selections and project designs. Her creative abilities help achieve her client's remodeling needs.

Project Managers
Our project managers are the key individuals of the production stage of your project. They will be on site every day during the duration of your project managing every aspect of construction. Each one of our project managers is a specialist in carpentry.  Working hand in hand with our designer they ensure that your project will reflect character appropriate for your setting.

Architects
If structural changes are to be made to your home we will bring in an architect with whom we have a working relationship.  Your project will receive the detailed architectural drawings with attention to accuracy and creativity that you deserve.  Every project will have this level of professionalism from beginning to end. Our

Design Center DesignTech's move to 1150 Linda St. Rocky River in April , 2006, opened new doors in our selections process.Our newly revamped design center houses a wide array of samples in countertop materials including the newest granites, quartz products and natural stone. You will find a tasteful selection of flooring materials, specialty wall tiles, and a whole library of lighting and plumbing fixtures and idea books. Take advantage of one-on-one consultation time with our designer in our comfortable, inspirational design center.
