Our Process

We are frequently asked if we are designers or builders. It is easy to understand the confusion given our name, DesignTech, but the explanation is easy. Our process has two parts: Design and Build. In other words, we are a construction company that designs.

When you initially call DesignTech you will arrange to meet with a member of our team who is a designer. His/her first objective is to define your project. This is the Design Phase. Surprisingly, no two remodels are alike. Your needs and wants are as unique as you are. Your lifestyle and how you will live in the new space will drive what we actually do for you. The process of defining the scope of work and the level of finish you desire is an extremely important step and unfortunately one that typical remodelers can easily let go by the wayside. Defining the scope of work for your project is critical in giving an estimate.

We are in the business of building thoughtfully planned, beautiful spaces that serve the needs and improve the quality of life of our clients. Defining and designing is the only way to achieve these results. When you are ready to engage us in the construction contract you will have all the details in-hand from this Design Phase.

Our next objective is to build your project. Our clients experience a sense of confidence knowing that all the details are in place and only unforeseen conditions or changes desired by the homeowner will alter the process.
