This family room was redesigned to entertain a large crowd and bring in views of the backyard. We bumped out the family room and the cramped eating area, adding columns for support. Placement of these columns was driven by furniture placement and traffic flow through the space. We moved the fireplace from its original spot to the new addition area creating space for built-ins along the main wall. The granite fireplace facade and beautiful trim work add to the character of this home. Replacing the countertops with a quartz product and changing out the cabinet hardware brings new life to the kitchen area. The new eastern side of this home welcomes the morning sun and the owners enjoy their new atrium-like family room addition.
